A day for rest, internet, grocery shopping, eating and generally relaxing. We try to “fix” the Carrots big toe. It looks horrible. Although she claims it doesn’t really hurt, it looks like it should be painful and we dress it with ointments and bandages.
Tehachapi is a little spread out, but we did not need the post office and were able to reserve a bus ride for the grocery store. Everything else we needed was close by the hotel.
We’re 2 days ahead of schedule and it looks like we will gain another day in this next section, so we make arrangements to met up with a friend at Walker pass.
No rush north….
Other hikers came in late last night or during the day today, includng Chinaman, True, Razy John, Capt Mike, Amie, Right On and Blue Moon. Once again hikers are gathering like a herd of animals at watering holes be they in the woods or in town.
