About
“I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, to discover that I had not lived.“
— Henry David Thoreau
Greetings from Nowhere Man (Phil Hough) and Walking Carrot (Deb Hunsicker) and welcome to our website!! Our passion is long distance hiking, and we hope that you will come along with us, in a virtual way, by enjoying our web offerings. To learn more about our “trail names” read the page outlining “Our Adventures“.
While on our journeys we’ve been privileged to witness some beautiful scenery, meet many wonderful people, and make many new friends. We’re grateful to the many “trail angels” who have helped make the journeys more enjoyable, and to the many family and friends who have also helped by sending resupply packages and goodies. We welcome those who want to come and hike with us (but be prepared – we cover a lot of ground in a day!) and are happy to swap trail stories over a beer or two. Be sure to check our website periodically, or subscribe to our RSS Feed to stay on top of our latest adventures.
