Welcome to our newly redesigned Site!
Anyone who has visited our site in the past will no doubt notice the major changes in the layout and design. We’re currently doing a massive overhaul and re-design of our site, in preparation for our rapidly approaching hike of the CDT (Continental Divide Trail), slated to begin later this month.
For the first time we’re going to attempt “live” updates to the site from the trail, as often as technology permits (meaning, as we get to areas where we can get internet and/or phone service). We’re planning to post blog entries via email, and possibly also some podcasts or other downloadable audio updates as well.
Although enjoying the outdoors for extended periods of time on a long-distance hike is a big part of our life, we realize that few people can undertake such an adventure for a variety of reasons – it can be challenging to be on the trail for months at a time, hiking thousands of miles – so our goal is to “bring the trail” to you. To share our experience and help others to see the the great beauty that can be found in the few remaining wild areas our country has to offer.
